What is SOS: Serving Our Seniors?

SOS: Serving Our Seniors is a growing nonprofit network that brings together professionals dedicated to supporting seniors and their families in the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities.

Through collaboration, education, and trusted partnerships, SOS connects families with reliable resources and services that help seniors navigate important life transitions.

SOS also works to strengthen community support for seniors by hosting educational events, sharing informational resources, and building a network of professionals committed to serving the senior community.

When are meetings held?

SOS currently holds two regular meetings each month. The SOS Network Meeting takes place on the second Thursday of the month, and the Executive Board Meeting is held on the fourth Thursday of the month.

Who does SOS serve?

SOS supports three primary groups within our community:

1. Seniors and their caregivers, by helping connect them with trusted resources and support.

2. Senior-owned businesses, by promoting opportunities for visibility and community engagement.

3. Professionals and organizations that provide services for seniors, by fostering collaboration, education, and trusted referral relationships.

Serving Our Seniors Meetings

Our SOS Network Meeting is held on the second Thursday of the month and provides an opportunity for members and professionals serving seniors to connect, share resources, and learn from one another.

Our Executive Board Meeting is held on the fourth Thursday of the month, where leadership focuses on planning initiatives, strengthening partnerships, and guiding the continued growth of the organization.

Additional networking events, educational opportunities, and community collaborations may be offered throughout the year.

Website, Directory & Media Visibility

SOS provides members with opportunities to increase visibility and share their expertise through our website, online directory, YouTube channel, and social media platforms.

Members may be featured as trusted resources for seniors and their families, with directory listings that include business descriptions, contact information, and links to websites or additional resources.

SOS also encourages members to share educational content, including informational videos that help seniors, caregivers, and families better understand the services available to them.

By sharing knowledge and building relationships within the community, SOS helps professionals establish trust and connect with those who need their support.
