SERVING OUR SENIORS DONATIONS

Serving Our Seniors is very honored to provide annual grants to various local non-profit organizations each year. These donations are comprised of a substantial portion of all monies received from:

  • Our Website Directory Listings

  • Annual Meeting Memberships fees from SOS members

  • Monthly Meeting attendance fees from non-members

  • Sponsor fees for members pledging an additional contribution to SOS

  • Random donations by individuals and businesses

We are extremely proud of the significant contribution Serving Our Seniors makes to Seniors in need. We donate to different non-profits each year on a rotating basis to maximize our grants.

Some of the types of SOS gifts are:

  • Eyeglasses

  • Orthopedic shoes

  • Mattress

  • Financial help with household bills

  • “Warm and Fuzzies” e.g., socks, hats, blankets, throws, slippers

  • Holiday gifts for seniors all alone

Alzheimer’s Association

The Southland Chapter provides free educational programs, support services and care consultations across the Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Kern, Tulare, Kings and Inyo counties, while also supporting critical research towards a cure.

Alzheimer’s Greater L.A.

High-quality programs and services to help manage the challenges of caring for a person with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.

Jewish Family Services

Provides life-improving services that help the people of Los Angeles live with dignity and exercise self-determination.

MAPS Charities

Serves seniors age 65 and over in Los Angeles County. Our grants provide funds or services to seniors for basic necessities or to enhance their quality of life.

OneGeneration

OneGeneration Adult Daycare helps seniors remain at home with their loved ones by providing a safe, supervised haven during the day.

OPICA

OPICA creates a structured, socially engaging environment that enables adults with memory loss to avoid isolation and provides respite to the family caregiver.

St. Barnabas Senior Services

Proudly offers an array of programs and services that include weekly meals, group classes, social services, case management, transportation, tech education, family caregiver support, advocacy and more.

The Los Angeles LGBT CENTER

Senior services strive to create a safe, welcoming and respectful community where LGBTQ+ older adults (50+) can come together to learn, connect, build friendships, gain support and thrive.
